India provides Rs 180.74 million to Nepal for river training works

Minister of India to Nepal, Manjeev Singh Puri, today gave over a check of NRs. 180.74 million to Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Secretary, Ministry of Energy, Irrigation and Water Resources, within the sight of Minister, Mr. Barsha Man Pun.

The sum is towards India’s commitment for waterway preparing and development of dikes along Lalbakeya, Bagmati and Kamla streams in Nepal, the Embassy of India expressed in a public statement.

The waterway preparing and dike works in the Lalbakeya, Bagmati and Kamla streams in Nepal went for surge control and water assets administration, which advantage a few million individuals possessing in the watershed of these waterways in India and Nepal.

With the NRs. 180.74 million, the Government of India has so far given 13 portions since 2008 to Nepal for the waterway preparing and dike works totaling to over NRs. 4.68 billion.

India stays resolved to keep working intimately with Nepal for encourage collaboration in the field of waterway preparing, surge control and water assets administration in these and different streams, the public statement expressed.
